Marina di Ragusa
Serenity spent a good, secure, well protected winter in Porto Turistica. The marina is in a beautiful spot with shops etc an easy bike ride away. Due to family circumstances, we did not spend so long on the boat this winter but we have booked to return here next year. We had a few good music sessions and other events were organised.

The main town square looking towards the sea.
Ready for coffee in the square after cycling up the hill to Eurospar.
Music group outside the Marina Lounge bar.
A lovely cycle ride along the coast to Ponte Secca for my birthday lunch. Just a shame Dave ended up "wearing" his coffee when the waitress dropped it, but no great harm done!
Montalbano's house on the beach
St Patrick's Day celebrations in the marina.
I think I recognise someone here!
The Project
Having spent quite some time last winter making a spray hood and bimini, this year's project was to make the enclosures.
Now we have a "conservatory" on the boat. A very useful space we can use whatever the weather.
Serenity looking very smart in her new colour scheme.
An amazing view or Mount Etna covered in snow and still smoking after erupting a few days before we flew back to the UK.
Easter Day Pot Luck lunch on the pontoon.
A wonderful selection of dishes from all round the world but not such a nice sunny day!
An outing was organised to Gli Aromi - Aromatic Gardens - about 30mins drive from the marina.
The rectangular patches on the right are actually beds of thyme used as yoga mats.
Wonderful rose-scented geraniums.
Star fruit growing in the poly tunnels.
Evening light across the marina.
