Has been quite a week!
Harry and Eimile left us on the 13th, was a really lovely few days so pleased they were able to join us. They then had a day in an hotel just south of Corfu, sounded really nice.

We have now been joined by John & Ros who have been fantastic in helping us get the boat up to croatia.

I just can't believe how difficult it was to clear passport control and customs, it took us 2 hours!!! We stayed on anchore over night and left at 05:00 hrs on a 33hr passage to get passed Albainia. We encountered a f5 head wind which slowed our progress, to a point where we decided to call in to Vlore in Albania, but by the time we had motor sailed to the entrance, the wind had dropped, and the sea calmed, so we decided to push on, and had a wonderful chicken in tarragon cream! maybe not the best of dishes to feed to queezy crew.

We arrived in Bar, Montenegro late afternoon on the 14th, customes / passport control was slightly better and we had checked in in an hour but managed to get caught for €63 over night mooring, which we then discovered had no facilities at all, so had to shower on the boat.

Kotor is the most amazing place, a walled city built on a cliff, with the highest point at 250 mtrs, which we all managed to climb early the following morning. The city is medieval and we spent the rest of the day walking around the city and visiting the maritime museum.

That evening we sailed to one of the very few anchorages, swimming and views are amazing but the miggies were nearly as bad as the Scottish ones. Early start tomorrow to get up to Cavtat in Croatia.

Lovely to be back in the UK for two weeks and to catch up with family and friends. We flew back to Corfu with Harry & Eimile on Friday 7th June, after a lovely few days at Lindsay & Nigel's. We arrived at Corfu airport 22:30hrs and were booking into the Hotel Bretagne at 11pm. Hotel was 10 minutes walk from the airport, very convenient. Harry, as always was hungry, and I never turn down the chance of some food (no chance of losing weight on this trip then) so we walked down to the seafront and had dinner at midnight.

Saturday- left Corfu on the 9.30 ferry the next day to Igoumenitsa then taxi to boat in Vliho Bay. Took boat up to Nidri to shop for supplies then across to Spartohori, one of our favourite spots on Meganissi, for an evening swim. Lovely meal at Stefan and Gerry"s right on the water's edge.

Sunday -walked up to the town for morning coffee - "drinking in the view" as Eimile put it! She was quite right -amazing vista right across to mainland and Lefkada.

Out for a sail although not much wind. Anchored in Abelike Bay and walked over to Little Vathi for a few essentials and wifi. Back on board we were faced with the mystery of the tomatoes - somehow - and nobody knows how - we had acquired 6 large tomatoes in 3 separate bags! Apologies to whoever they belonged to but they were delicious!! Dinner on boat then Harry and Eimile rowed across to Pirates Cove bar for a late night drink. They did manage to find the right boat when they got back but .... let go of the dinghy which made a break for it so Harry had to dive in to retrieve it - an unexpected midnight swim!

Monday -left Abelike Bay at 5.30am - before sunrise - and headed north to Paxos. Watched the sun come up over the mountains and went through the lifting bridge between Lefkada and the mainland at 8.00am.

Motor sailed and arrived in Gaios on Paxos at16.00. Found ice cream!!!
