An amazing and very long drive back to the UK, for Russells wedding. Ann Kevin Teresa and I left Greece last Saturday getting the 11:50 something ferry from Igonomitsa to Bari. I was prepared for the 9hr trip this time and took a sleeping back with me, so a very comfy nights sleep! on Sunday we drove to Florence and stayed at a beautiful campsite in what can only be described as a plastic box. We were offered an upgrade, but as we were out all day visiting Florence and in the restaurant in the evening, we saw no point, and it actually worked well for us, after Kevin had sorted the heating! It was very cold still at night.

Florence was a great stop, an amazing city, but far too many museums, will have to go back to see them all. We did do the walk to the top of the Doumo dome, 460 something steps, Teresa lost count after 150, at which point I was doughbting the sence of this, but managed to get to the top ok and it was well worth the climb.

The drive through Germany was very wet and dismal, haven't been used to these temperatures for a while.

Now looking fofrward to seeing friends and family over the next couple of weeks.

Good Friday procession through Fiskardo, tables set for spit roast lamb, the traditional family meal!

A walk out to the old lighthouse in Fiskardo

A celebration of traditional dance in the local square in Sami with groups from infants to adults

Dave caught relaxing on a deserted beach after cycling from Sami to Ay Eufemia

The harbour in Sami, which is a mixture of commercial and tourism
Met Teresa and Kevin here on Thursday. They were a bit earlier than we had predicted, so we hadn't finished cleaning the boat.

Having walked with friends from Sami along the beach we arrived at a taverna and just a little further in was this amazing cave at Mellisini

Looks very pleasant here, but have been here for two days, stormbound!!

Frikes, would be an amazing place if it wasn't for the wind!

Paddling in Dessemi beach not quite warm enough for a swim!

Cycle ride to Geni beautiful spot, stopped at Dessimi beach on the way

Tiny church just outside little Vathi, yet another cycle ride, but not getting any thinner!

Views across to Abeliki bay
Road sort of disappeared so we had a very long walk, which ended up near to where we started, that was lucky.

Barbecue in Abeliki bay with David & Shani. Bonaparte (the dog) comes to visit the next morning
 Leaving Abeliki
 Dessimi Beach, again

Great sail to Fiskardo, new jib working well, thanks Ginny!

Foki bay, first swim of the year, and it's almost warm enough, but ok once in, after cycling in the sun from Friskadho
