Cleaning the boat again today, ready for polishing tomorrow or Monday, hose is completely uncontrolable, but I seem to have come off the wettest. May have tomorrow off, as bank holiday and the local vinyard needs checking out! was sunny at times today and quite warm, but the wind was terrible, 36kts at one time,  the boat was vibrating, not good when standing on the deck, 10 feet above the ground in the boat yard!

Met Stanley (wife Gill) again today, really nice man has been here for 10 years. He has his boat in the same yard as ours and rents an appartment in Vliho.

Found the park and ride on the sat nav, amazing thing! We were told by the the car park attendants when they saw how packed the car was that there were bandits about and we should take anything of value with us. We took what we could and  spent a lovely morning in the old part of Bari walking through a maze of narrow streets, the baroque archbishops palace is beautiful and the Basilica di San Nicola has a beautiful gilt and painted ceiling.

Arrived at the ferry port around 2:00pm, far too early, went to the cafe for a bite and Annie's thick chocolate- more like hot chocolate mousse - had to be eaten with a spoon - impossible to drink. That lasted all of half an hour, sat in the car for another two hours and then drove on, with still two hours to go until the ferry departed for Greece at 8:00pm.

Ferry arrived in Igoumenista at 6.30am local time - 89 miles to drive to Nidri. Discovered that the apartment Dave had found last November and we had booked online back in Barham was very pleasant and comfortable.
Views of the apartment in Nidri
Great views of mountains and sea, but still bloomin' cold!

Have just arrived in Bari, driving through the city is just mad! can't work out the traffic lights, locals seem to go on their favourite colour. Spent a bit of time in the old citadel today amazing place, tiny streets creating a real maze never thought we would find the car!

Still raining a bit but first blue skies since the Alps.

Went to find somewhere to eat tonight, was sent off with the name El Mulino in Sannicandro. So we went to Sannicandro, 5minutes down the road, parked in the centre, what a strange place! only men standing around, and no pizzeria! spent ages driving around, then found it on the sat nav, but still had to ask someone. What a find, the most amazing local wine, quite a sweet vino rosso, wonderful home made dough balls, the most fantastic wild mushroom pasta, amazing Neapolitan pizza, chocolate soufflĂ©  to die for, creme brulee and a home made cherry brandy. all for 12€ each.

Harry and Dave (looking like a bear according to Ann) Great to see Harry for a few days

There is a stream here, but most of it is under the snow, amazing place.

This is the avalanche in which Harry lost his skis. To get an idea of size, there are people on the road that goes across the photo - three on the right, two on the left
